WELCOME TO ST MARY'S SECONDARY SCHOOL

ESTABLISHMENT:

ST MARY'S secondary school is a grant aided school.  It was established in 1939 by the Sisters of Daughters of Wisdom as a primary school.  Sisters of the Daughters of Wisdom are Catholic nuns under the Montfort Missionaries.  In 1962 the school was registered as a Secondary school and in 1971 it became a full boarding secondary school.

ADMISSION:

The school has a boarding capacity of 500 students, whose admission is based on merit and is done in two ways:

1. a.  60% from Government selection
2. b.  40% from the Zomba Diocese selection
